Full Biography for Anthony Vieyra

My schooling started at El Camino School in Ontario, parochial school in Montclair, graduating from Damien High School in La Verne. The colleges I attended were Chaffey College, Cal Poly Pomona and finally the University of La Verne. I can truly say I am proud to have attended these schools and will continue to support education in our districts. I have earned degrees in Economics and Business Administration. My careers included working for General Dynamics in Pomona, California for 9 years collecting and distributing data and reports for the Data Systems Division. I remember the awe I felt as I walked through the various buildings that operated day and night helping to provide safety and security for our country. Unfortunately the company was sold and the plant relocated to Arizona. My next career was working for the Department of the Treasury / IRS, in which I helped taxpayers with their accounts. This type of customer service was very satisfying in that both the taxpayers and I, representing the government, were able to work through misunderstandings and problems to reach a satisfactory resolution. My last career was working at American Funds in the Retirement Department specializing in various types of retirement plans and IRA contributions. I worked there for 13 years. Throughout my life I have been involved in my community; including Little League, Boy Scouts, volunteering at the Ontario Library, teaching confirmation at Sacred Heart Church in Pomona, Habitat for Humanity, and the LA Junior Chamber of Commerce. This community is my life and I am willing to work hard as your Congressman to represent you; my neighbors, brothers, sisters, friends, and all who live in the 35th Congressional District. I have the training, the skills, the integrity, the ethics, and the courage to stand up against the failures of the politicians. |
