Cliff wants the Governing Board to roll back their recent pay increases and denounce their health care benefits on the back on the school district. He wants to be sure that the Bellflower USD remain PUBLIC, with no giveaways to Private or "Charter" Schools.

Candidate Phillips calls on Candidates to turn back the funds for HEALTH BENEFIT PERKS to the general fund, after all, this is only a part time job that should be for SERVICE to the children, schools, and the community of BELLFLOWER!

BELLFLOWER UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

Occupation: University Professor/Retired Public School Teacher & Administrator

★ Clifton "Cliff" Phillips and his wife of 50 years have lived in Bellflower for 20 years and raised two beautiful daughters who have a total of seven children. It's great being a grandpa!

★ Cliff has served B.U.S.D. over the years while supervising student teachers at Bellflower High School, Mayfair High School, Intensive Learning Center, and hundreds of other teacher interns and student teachers, in schools throughout Los Angeles County, as they were completing credential requirements at the private non-profit university that credentials more teachers than any other in California.

★ Clifton "Cliff" Phillips has over 35 years direct experience in education as a public school teacher at all levels from K-12. He has also served as a building principal and district level administrator. Additional experience in education has been teaching classes for teacher credentials. He holds a Life Teaching Credential and an endorsement as a Language Development Specialist.

★ Cliff is currently a Los Angeles County Deputy Registrar of Voters and may assist anyone in voter registration, with no regard to their voter preference.

★ Clifton "Cliff" Phillips brings business and financial experience to the table after serving in real estate and as a financial advisor for some of the largest companies. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
