Questions & Answers

1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

I'm a long-time resident of Anderson and currently serve on the Board of Directors Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce (7 years) and Chairman Economic Development Committee (4 years). Other quality leadership positions include, UCATS (4 years) and Chairman/Member Advisory Board UC College of Nursing (16 years).

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

Fiscal responsibility and careful spending of tax dollars is a top priority. Recent expenditures of $10 million dollars on a retention pond/lake and parking garage should have been reviewed much more carefully.

The ANCOR area development and possible mining operation will require leadership with integrity. Poorly executed plans will have a lasting effect on Anderson's business tax base for 50 years or more.

Safety and Security issues will be a high priority in 2010. Due to significant budget cutbacks by Hamilton County, Anderson may be responsible for a much greater share of the costs for safety and security.
