	Candidates Answer Questions on the Issues Trustee; Township of Anderson

What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit) Answer from Gregory D "Greg" Delev: I have a no-nonsense, let's-roll-up-our-sleeves-and get-to-work attitude. Those who know me will tell you I will not hesitate to take on the difficult tasks and will set aside politics for the community. Examples: Fighting for Anderson High Redskin name. Organized the first TEA parties. Preventing a misplaced firehouse in Anderson. Answer from Peggy D. Reis: I have had nearly twenty years of experience as an elected public official. I have dedicated myself to serving Anderson and its residents. My business experience has been valuable in maintaining balanced budgets with healthy reserves and obtaining a credit rating of "Aa1" from Moodys's Investment Services. Answer from Kevin P. O'Brien: I'm a long-time resident of Anderson and currently serve on the Board of Directors Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce (7 years) and Chairman Economic Development Committee (4 years). Other quality leadership positions include, UCATS (4 years) and Chairman/Member Advisory Board UC College of Nursing (16 years). Answer from Albert F. "Al" Peter: 30+ years in business, including CEO of a $400M public corporation Eight years as Trustee of Anderson Township, during which the township has prospered and grown. Services have been improved and the quality of life in Anderson has been enhanced. Participation on numerous boards and organizations. Answer from Michael "Mike" Paolucci: Lawyer with real estate experience. Experience in development will be applied to the future growth of the community. 2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit) Answer from Peggy D. Reis: I will continue to implement the visions and goals I have helped establish for our community. Quality of life has, and will continue to be, elevated by preserving Greenspace, working with local business districts, continuing trails and sidewalk connections, and leveraging Tax Increment Financing to bring even more grant money to the Township. I will continue to apply my business experience to promote fiscal responsibility. I will advocate keeping Anderson on solid financial ground. As an example, the excellent credit rating we enjoy is the highest ever awarded to an Ohio township. Answer from Michael "Mike" Paolucci: Limit spending. Use creative methods to reduce the supply of retail on Beechmont. Plan for the future road improvements. Answer from Kevin P. O'Brien: Fiscal responsibility and careful spending of tax dollars is a top priority. Recent expenditures of $10 million dollars on a retention pond/lake and parking garage should have been reviewed much more carefully. The ANCOR area development and possible mining operation will require leadership with integrity. Poorly executed plans will have a lasting effect on Anderson's business tax base for 50 years or more. Safety and Security issues will be a high priority in 2010. Due to significant budget cutbacks by Hamilton County, Anderson may be responsible for a much greater share of the costs for safety and security. Answer from Gregory D "Greg" Delev: Return Fiscal Common Sense to Anderson Twp. Government should be humble. Township will look at selling the Government Center for a profit. Trustee meetings would be held at the Legion Hall. Return Integrity to the Board.
