More open, accessible and inclusive City government
The Council should govern, not rule. It is time for a qualitative change. Toward this end, I will:

  • continue to be an active advocate for the public's interest, building a consensus among divergent views
  • schedule all Council meetings at a time when the working public can attend and include more substantive discussion of the issues
  • take an active role in promoting the City's interest at the county and state level
  • hold weekly office hours
  • enhance the information available on the City's web site
  • ensure that the public votes to approve projects such as the proposed Community Center
