DemPublicans have held us hostage to the Military Industrial-Petro-Chemical-Nuclear Complex since WW2.

In 1980 I read Barry Commoner's book, the "Politics of Energy", over the air on KPFA in Berkeley, as it had been entered into the Congressional Record. As a peace activist it was exciting to find positive solutions through community run renewable energy systems, mass transit an end to nuclear energy, (a dangerous, expensive way to boil water) dependency on fossil fuels. Economic justice and peace could be created with this direction.

Around this time Petra Kelly was organizing the Green Party in Germany. She believed her sister had died from cancer because of proximity to a nuclear weapons planet. Her valiant efforts became an international movement.

I ran for office as a Citizen Party candidate (Consumer in Penna) with Dr. Commoner's bid for the presidency and organized the party on Pittsburgh. Although the electoral process in the United States does not allows for Gewwn voices I continue to work towards these ends with my candidacy.
