My Vision for Torrance involves the four major areas:

- MANAGE TRAFFIC
- EXPAND SENIOR PROGRAMS
- PROTECT OUR NEIGHBORHOODS
- SUPPORT OUR SCHOOLS

Some of the issues facing Torrance today:

1- Overdevelopment / Density Concerns

We need to take a critical look at all density-regulations, and take the appropriate steps to ensure that future development is not a repetition of past mistakes.

2- Traffic Circulation

Options need to be revisited to alleviate the new circulation problems created by over-development, as well as the increased traffic volume resulting from other causes. Perhaps it is time to consider flexible lanes that change direction based on peak traffic flow hours, or accelerate plans to complete the Del Amo and/or Plaza Del Amo extensions to provide additional East-West access.

3- Condition of TUSD Infrastructure

Although this is primarily a TUSD issue, it impacts the quality of life for our ciizens and the ability of local businesses to attract new employees.

I support joint discussions with TUSD to identify potential areas of mutual benefit to the residents, the students, the city, the school district, and "the bottom line".
