Being a public servant has been a lifelong pursuit of mine. I have been a resident of Torrance for almost 47 years and was honored to have been a Torrance Policewoman hired in 1970. My public service career with the Torrance Police Department lasted over 32 years, and ended with my retirement as Captain. These wonderful years of service, opened my eyes to the strengths and weaknesses of people, and gave me the opportunity to experience the joys of making a small difference in an individual's life. I'm hoping to continue this tradition of public service by running for a seat in the June 3rd Torrance City Council election and becoming a Torrance City Councilperson.
