Restoration of our property rights thru the elimination of property taxes, inheritance taxes, and restricting eminent domain laws. One of my first goals in office will be to implement the 3 steps needed to restore our property rights: Eliminating property taxes on our primary residence; Restricting eminent domain laws; and eliminating inheritance taxes. Real estate taxes generate over $8 billion dollars of funding for our schools and local governments. The elimination of property taxes on our homes will require a reduction in the size and scope of our state government, consolidation of services at the local level, ending all wasteful government spending and enhancing other revenue streams. The danger we all face from the misguided use of eminent domain laws must be removed. The taking of one private citizen's property for the benefit of another must be stopped now. The children of a family farmer or a business owner should not be forced to sell the business, or their land, just to pay the state inheritance tax. This double-taxation that we all face when a loved one passes away needs to end. |
