Riverside County, CA | November 6, 2007 Election |
Balancing growth and water availabilityBy Stewart J. YeomansCandidate for Director; Jurupa Community Services District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Are there limits to growth,is it fair to import expensive water to support growth and expect everyone to share the cost?We are in some ways at the mercy of Federal, State, and County governments. In a word, there has to be some limit to development but exactly where that is would have to be determined by legal regulations, and analysis of other districts with similar problems, and assistance from other government bodies. The District needs to come up with a reasonable plan based on feedback from the citizens not just activists and corporate interests. There must be a middle ground. |
