In 2005, New York's state government underwent several important and long-overdue reforms in the way it does business. But, as the Brennan Center for Justice recently reported, there is much more work ahead to promote a more accountable state government. I am committed to taking partisanship out of the process by promoting the development of partnerships in Albany, much like my newly formed New York State Legislative Reform Caucus, that allow us to move beyond party and philosophical differences. In addition, I support the following reforms:
