Improving Student AchievementBy Don MaxwellCandidate for Board Member; Santa Cruz City High School District; Area 2 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Parents and teachers working togetherStudents succeed when parents are involved in their child's education. Our schools have made many efforts to encourage parent involvement, but it must be a continuing effort. New approaches to this important task need to be explored, i.e. special evening classes for parents to learn how to help their children succeed. Parents care about their children's education and are a major key to any improvement in student achievement. |
