Ballot Statement

As a fifteen-year Antioch resident and mother of three children, two who attend schools in A.U.S.D, I'm committed to raise my children to be educated, contributing, and compassionate members of society.

My dedication to community causes has helped me gain a good understanding of what it takes to get things done.

Some of my community efforts include: initiating a dress code survey that sampled the opinions of parents at five local schools, prompted A.U.S.D. to rewrite their policy. Co-chaired in organizing two DRMS Auction Spring Dinners that raised $64,000 for books, sports and education needs. Also, I led conservation efforts for Burrowing owls.

I believe being involved in the lives of children makes a difference in their academic performance. I strongly support teachers, principals and academic counselors. I feel they are key people in children's lives. As a mother of a developmentally disabled child, I fully support children with special needs.

Raising the Academic Performance in Antioch schools is essential for our children's future. Parent, teacher and peer involvement is the recipe for this success.

I'm committed to bring my tireless efforts to work for the improvements and safety of our schools for all of our kids in Antioch.
