Smart Voter Political Philosophy for David Sanchez

Candidate for
Supervisor; County of Los Angeles; District 1

With all good news, its time for a change. If elected, I will reduce violence in L.A. County from 1200 murders per year to 600. Saving 600 hundred lives per year is my goal by applying means of prevention. I was once very successful in the field of stopping the violence when I worked for the Department of Health Services, and by reducing the rate of violence, I was able to save the County of Los Angeles -- millions of dollars. Then I was laid off by burrocrats who know nothing about social problems but continue to get elected. If elected, I will create a thousand jobs by seeking federal funds to create work programs and another thousand jobs through Publc Works by insisting that people who have lived in Los Angeles for ten or more years be hired first, and that contractors hire local people. In 1992, Los Angeles County was going into bankruptcy, yet I was able to locate hidden funds and saved the County when I was working for Supervisor Yvonne Brathwaite Burke. Then I was forced to transfer to another department. Later, not even Public Works would take my transfer because I insisted in more minority and women Public Works Contracts while working for Supervisor Burke. If elected, I will motivate students to stay in school and to make sure that schools become Friendly Environments with the goal to reduce the drop-out rate. Also by reducing the cost of crime by prevention means, more funds may be diverted to re-open some of the closed clinics and create more jobs. Most of us have been under the assumption that by electing the same representatives, that things will get better. On the contrary, things have gotten worse! As you are probably aware, I am up against the same political machine who will try to buy the election and will try anything to stay in power. The last time I ran for County Supervisor, the L.A. County Registrar Recorder even allowed some voting polls to be closed where many people could not vote. Recently, the Registrar-Recorder would not allow me to have my statement on the sample ballot. The L.A. County Registrar-Recorder only stated that my appeal to have my statement on the ballot was not approved. Who made this decision? and I was never given a guideline as to who get's qualified and who does not. Why is it, that some people can have their statement on the sample ballot and others cannot? Is this a form of advertising on a government document. Is this a form of riging the election? And what about the electronic polling machines that have no paper trail? Can we have trust in the election process so that elections are not sided. This is just another example of the political corruption in Los Angeles. Everyone should have democracy, and people should be elected for their service to the people. Yet, Democracy in America has become "who ever has the most money wins the election". And from this, this nation is facing an unwanted war by most people, good jobs are being shiped out to other countries and made into cheap labor, the high cost to buy a house continues, and the price of gasoline rises. When are the people going to learn. Too often Americans suffer as outside interest continue to feed political campaigns with money. Therefore, I am running for Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors because I have always stood for principals and always will. Elect David Sanchez for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors 1st District.
