I have appreciated the opportunity to serve our community since December, 1989. My passion is to see the children of our community excel and grow to be successful, productive citizens. As a community and school district we have accomplished much. We have almost completed our district-wide modernization while seeing our test scores trend upward year after year. We have many California and National Distinguished Schools. Witness the recent announcement of VUSD Portola Elementary as a 2005 National Blue Ribbon School. We owe much to the teachers and support staff of our district for the terrific job they have done faithfully over the years. Together we can make a great school district an outstanding school district. I want to be part of the continued success our district has enjoyed through the hard work and good business management of everyone. My professional experience as a senior corporate manager and now as a manager with a neighboring school district provides me an inside and an outside perspective of the school system. I would appreciate your VOTE of confidence so that I may continue to make Ventura schools the best in the state.
