School Safety, Security, & Health

This information is provided by the candidate
The safety, security, and health of all District sites need to be insured.
· Each school site has a written safety plan specific for that site but neither students, community members nor staff members were consulted in its preparation.

· This plan should include fire drills along with plans to deal with extreme emergencies such as earthquakes.

· The staff and students need to be trained in what they are expected to do.

· Parents need information on what they need to do to retrieve their student after an extreme emergency.

· The staff needs to constantly monitor not only the cleanliness of the site but also inspect buildings to insure that molds and other hazardous organisms do not grow.

· When hazards are discovered, work orders need to be handled promptly.
