I will work to increase the number of affordable housing units by working with all the major groups that play a role in the affordable housing development process. Specifically increase the percentage set-aside for affordable housing, and work to provide incentives for landlords to conserve affordable housing terms that are about to expire. Work to pursue more joint ventures with non-profits so we can have more 100% affordable projects like the Nueva Vista Housing Project in the predominantly Beach Flats community. |
