Assist in establishing "District 6 Business Association."

By Amos Jackson Young

Candidate for Councilmember; City of Pomona; District 6

This information is provided by the candidate
A Business Association would provide a forum for addressing business needs in North Pomona. Participation in planning for economic growth will afford district businesses the chance to buy-in to the community's future and to become full partners in the successful growth of our community.
A Community is a terrible thing to waste! When area businesses do business with area businesses and local residents support local businesses, it makes for a winning combination and a propering community.

When district businesses come together wit a common interest to solve common challenges, the entire community benefits. District 6 businesses should be on tht cutting edge when it comes to knowing how the area is being developed. Businesses that participate in an association tend to have more control over their destiny.

Businesses that participate with and/or sponsor youth, young-adult and adult community activites serve as models of the enterpreneural American spirit. Youth clubs and events, young-adult activities and adult fun and learning programs can all be encouraged and supported when businesses are patronized by the community and in turn give back to their neighborhood. As your council representative, i will work to ensure this becomes a reality.
