What I would like to accomplish during my second term in office.2004 Initiatives As a Board Member of the Three Valleys Municipal Water District, I will endeavor to accomplish the following during the term of office: Continue to engage the Board of Directors in setting clear Board policy for the District and provision periodic review of its policies. Continue to maintain a commitment to an "open + transparent " Board process and deliberation for our Member Agencies and the public we serve. Continue to develop reliable District water resources for the Member Agencies through the MWD of Southern California and through local surface water, groundwater, and reclaimed water sources. Continue to develop fiscal responsibility through the budget process; review of prudent investments, and expenditures; and setting appropriate reserves for various requirements, and contingencies. Continue to provide oversight of District programs and staff accountability. Continue to establish District presence and leadership in the water community, both locally and regionally. Promote working relationships with State and Federal lawmakers concerning water issues. |
