2004 Initiatives

What I would like to accomplish during my second term in office.

As a Board Member of the Three Valleys Municipal Water District, I will endeavor to accomplish the following during the term of office:

 Continue to engage the Board of Directors in setting clear Board policy for the District and provision periodic review of its policies.

 Continue to maintain a commitment to an "open + transparent " Board process and deliberation for our Member Agencies and the public we serve.

 Continue to develop reliable District water resources for the Member Agencies through the MWD of Southern California and through local surface water, groundwater, and reclaimed water sources.

 Continue to develop fiscal responsibility through the budget process; review of prudent investments, and expenditures; and setting appropriate reserves for various requirements, and contingencies.

 Continue to provide oversight of District programs and staff accountability.

 Continue to establish District presence and leadership in the water community, both locally and regionally. Promote working relationships with State and Federal lawmakers concerning water issues.
