Continue To Improve The Quality Of Education For Our Children In Our Community

By Ed Balico

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Hercules

This information is provided by the candidate
Education is always a number one issue in Hercules. Support our Educators(i.e. administrators, princiapls, teachers and the rest their staff) to prodive a better quality of education in our community.
Our commuity is serve by John Swett Unified School District and the West Contra Costa Unified school District. Our expectations from both districts are very high and they should be. To achieve the highest quality of education for our community is to work with the school principals and their administrators, deligently, and above all to have a healthy communication on what is best for our local residence.

The School District is entirely a separate jurisdiction that has its own governing bodies, has its own successes and challenges. The same is true with our city. As an elected council member we do have a fiduciary obligation to make sure that our children will recieved the best quality of education that is humanly possible. I will continue to work with both districts in securing real estate properties for our new elementary and Middle School, and the completion of its facilities.
