• I have been the proud owner of Rebel Skate and Surf since 1988 and work there 7 days a week. I am very accessible to the community.

• I sponsered the first All Girls Skateboard Team in 1963: Colleen Jones, Valerie Perez, Sharon Hilton, Minnie Cooper, Beverly Eaton, Nancy Deffly. This team won the Santa Monica Nationals in 1964.

• I am a former teacher of the district for thirteen years. I have lived and participated in the Jurupa Community for 23 years now.

• I received my Bachelor of Science at Cal State Los Angeles and a Master of Business from Cal Poly Pomona. I also hold four valid teaching credentials for life.

• I am founder of "Stop Tagging Our Property" and "I Love Schools Without Drugs". Both organizations have been active and effective in the community.
• I am also a member of T.A.S.K: Team Advocate for Special Kids.

• I am a member of Jurupa Mountain Cultural Center.

• I have donated thousands of dollars through my business to the Annual Jurupa Christmas Party. I have supported both the Mira Loma and Jurupa Valley Pageant contestants, as well as many AYSO, travel ball and baseball teams. I support many other programs by donating gift certificates for awards nights, for both academic and athletic teams. I also helped to support the Pony League, Jurupa Track and Field, and Silver Brigade.

• I support the new skateboarding and BMX park that will be located @ Jurupa Rd. and Pedley Rd. as proposed by the Jurupa Parks District.

• I am a proud owner of a Friends of the Library tile at the Glen Avon Library.

• I am a member of the Jurupa Chamber of Commerce, the Mira Loma Chamber of Commerce, and the Riverside Chamber of Commerce.

• I received the President's Award for cleaning up graffiti.

• I am a member of Neighborhood Watch.

• I have taken lots of Jurupa students white water rafting.

• I have taken Boy Scout groups white water rafting.

• Member of Gold prospectors of America.

• Member of Orange County 49er's gold mining club.

• I have taken dozens of Jurupa students on gold mining trips to the Kern, Merced, and Tuolumne Rivers to learn how to dredge and pan for gold.

• Life member of Gold Nugget prospectors inc. of Riverside, a non-profit corporation which upon dissolution, donated thousands of dollars and equipment to both Jurupa and Rubidoux programs.

• Through my business, Rebel Skate and Surf, and "Schools Wiothout Drugs", we have donated a $500 dollar scholarship to both Rubidoux High School and Jurupa Valley High School for several years.

• I contributed financially as well as volunteered for Mr. Lawrence's Wachington, DC Trip for Jurupa Junior High Students.

• Since the start of my business, Rebel Skate and Surf, in 1988, I have contributed to both academic and athletic programs throughout the Jurupa School District. The following is a partial list: Football, Choir, Band Programs, ROTC, Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Track and Field, Soccer, Swimming, etc.
