I lived the first 35 years of my life in San Antonio, Texas, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with an accounting degree. I lived in New Mexico for eight years after that, and moved to the Conejo Las Virgenes area in 1984.

I have been a CPA for my entire career, including being an audit partner with Arthur Young and Company, one of the "Big 8" (now 5) largest accounting firms. Although I have mostly served businesses, my audit experience includes school districts and other governmental entities. Presently I work in partnership with my CPA wife in Agoura Hills, where I have lived for 13 years.

Our family is a nine member "blended" family. My wife of 13 years has two children, I have two children, and we are guardians of three children who joined us in 1992. We were honored by Kiwanis International as the 1998 California "Family of the Year".

Our children have been students at and graduated from both district high schools and both middle schools, and one is a freshman at Agoura High.

Both of my parents' families include many educators; my father is a retired teacher and principal. I respect and appreciate teachers and administrators and the problems they face doing their jobs.

My background, work experience, family history and interest in education uniquely prepare me for the position of LVUSD board member.
