Mark Peterson has been working as a Deputy District Attorney for the past fifteen years. He has been working full-time puting criminals behind bars, to help make Concord a safer community to live, work, and raise our families.

Mark has been married over seventeen years to his wife Penny, and they have three young children. Mark enjoys the outdoors and mountain climbing. In 1998, for his 40th birthday, Mark climbed Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the contiguous United States. In 1999, Mark climbed Mt. Shasta and raised over $2,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In August, 2000 Mark climbed Mt. Rainier, at a height of 14,411 feet. He raised over $2,500 in this climb for Muscular Dystrophy Association.
