Political Philosophy for Ray Devault

Candidate for
Member Council; Village of Elmwood Place

I am a grass-roots independent who strongly believes that our form of government, on all levels, is "of the people, for the people, by the people." Politics today has strayed from this basic philosophy.

Our government has become inundated with career politicians, prestige seeking egotists, money hungry thieves, know-it-all thugs, and wishy-washy fence straddlers more concerned with themselves than the day-to-day problems of their constituents. The people have been forgotten except at election time.

It is time for the people to elect candidates they deserve; candidates who will serve them; candidates motivated by their voices, their concerns.

This is why I suport citizen representation on all village committees. There is no better way to glean citizen opinion and input thatn having representation in the decision-making process.
