The questions were prepared by the League of Women Voters of Hamilton County and asked of all candidates for this office. Read the answers from all candidates. Questions & Answers1. What are your views regarding the need for public transportation in your community to promote access to employment throughout the region?
We are currently on the Bus line that goes into Cincinnati as well as North of our City 2. Would you be in favor of county-wide campaign finance regulations that would provide for public matching funds, limit campaign contributions and provide for more disclosure? State your opinions on these ideas; whether you would support or oppose them.
With being in a small town our campaign finance is rather small. For the bigger municipalities I would be in favor of Public giving contributions, but I would limit business contributions. I think we have enough disclosure. 3. What are the benefits/detriments to land use planning prior to zoning decisions?
I think you need to find out what is the best use for the land. Business can be built as long as you keep good green buffer zones to limit noise and to look better. If you can do this then you change the zoning decisions.
Responses to questions asked of each candidate are reproduced as submitted to the League, but formatted for Web display. Candidates were asked to limit their responses to 300 words for all 3 answers. Simple spelling or typographical errors were corrected after confirmation with the candidate. |
