1. What are your views regarding the need for public transportation in your community to promote access to employment throughout the region?
|
Answer from Maureen P. Mason:
As a member of OKI Board of Trustees, I support improving all moces of public transportation trhoughout the region. My community and it's citizen's would benefit from a comprehensive plan to relieve congestion on the highways.
Answer from Steven G. Bosse:
We are currently on the Bus line that goes into Cincinnati as well as North of our City
2. Would you be in favor of county-wide campaign finance regulations that would provide for public matching funds, limit campaign contributions and provide for more disclosure? State your opinions on these ideas; whether you would support or oppose them.
|
Answer from Maureen P. Mason:
I would support this- I would want to see the details before I say definitely. But it seems like an improvement to have more disclosure.
Answer from Steven G. Bosse:
With being in a small town our campaign finance is rather small. For the bigger municipalities I would be in favor of Public giving contributions, but I would limit business contributions. I think we have enough disclosure.
3. What are the benefits/detriments to land use planning prior to zoning decisions?
|
Answer from Steven G. Bosse:
I think you need to find out what is the best use for the land. Business can be built as long as you keep good green buffer zones to limit noise and to look better. If you can do this then you change the zoning decisions.
Answer from Maureen P. Mason:
Benefits- planned development; protection of existing residential areas; avoid traffic congestion; avoid over-development; protect environment- protect and provide greenspace; more opportunity for citizen input; encourage cooperation between government.
