Frausto's perspective is different from the other candidates in this race in that quite unlike the other candidates he has spent a considerable number of years working to improve this community. In all, Frausto has spent more time addressing the issues of education than all of the others combined. For many years he has been actively involved in voicing the concerns and problems of the community as well as providing some solutions along the way.

Frausto believes that aggressive change must begin immediately. Frausto has the courage and passion to ask direct questions and is willing to take the heat for doing it. Frausto is aggressive and not afraid of controversial positions because he knows what is necessary to make the changes we all know need to be made. He asks direct questions to fully understand the issues. His opinions come from well informed study and understanding of the complex cultures that make up Pasadena. Porfirio Frausto has a broad range of experiences and has repeatedly linked education to the community. Frausto knows the issues and has a plan to put PUSD back on track. He brings the deep experience and strong leadership that is needed to effect positive change for the PUSD. Frausto acts decisively and gets the job done. Frausto brings this community new hope
