Academic achievement

Excellent teachers, strong administrators and involved parents are the critical forces in academic success. Effective communication enables these groups to work toward the shared goal of students meeting their full potential.

I believe we must use testing and other measures to identify all opportunities to strengthen curriculum and to implement those strategies which most effectively teach our children. Further, I believe regular, reliable communication regarding student performance allows teachers, adminstrators, parents and students to work as cohesive unit.

Ultimately, we measure the success of a school district by how well it teaches every child it serves. We must make sure every student gets the best education available, and we must work together to achieve this.
