I believe that nothing is more informative than a first- hand observation. If elected I promise to be involved with every school in the district.If I am elected, I promise to continue my hands-on involvement at school sites and in classrooms. I plan to visit every school site and observe classrooms at least once a month and more often when needed. I would like to continue teaching writing workshops in grades K-12, wherever teachers will make room for me. I believe classroom exposure facilitates a person's ability to evaluate effective curriculum and teaching styles. Additionally, I would like to meet informally with teachers, administrators and students on a regular basis. |
