As Thomas Jefferson, constitutionalist, third president of the United States, hemp farmer, gun owner, and libertarian, famously said: "That government is best which governs least."

I want to reverse the malignant intrusion of government - the bureaucrats and tax collectors - into our lives. I want to maximize the freedom of all peaceful people - those who abjure violence, trespass, and fraud - to live as they choose. I will listen, and address your concerns without stealing your liberty. I will represent the best interests of my constituents by resisting the pressures of special interests that shape much of today's bloated government agenda.
