Full Biography for Stephen Finn

Who Steve Finn Is

Preservationist: In 1988, Steve purchased a seven-acre estate to rescue an historic Greek revival home in Los Altos Hills from demolition by developers. One year later, however, the home was destroyed by the Loma Prieta earthquake. To fund the costly renovation, he sold parts of the estate in strict compliance with local ordinances. Though plans for the renovation took one year to get through the Planning commission, today the home - one of the oldest in Los Altos Hills - honorably preserves a local architectural treasure.

Los Altos Hills Leader: A sixth-generation Northern Californian, Steve has lived in and served Los Altos Hills community for more than 20 years. Having worked as a volunteer for the Town's Planning Commission, he holds the Town's professional employees in high esteem. He has championed residents' rights to enjoy an expedient and fair government that not only holds fast to tradition, but also looks for ways to improve its service to the community.

Business Executive: Steve holds a BS from San Jose State University and an MBA from Santa Clara University, and is founder and CEO of Trust Company of America, which manages $1.5 billion in institutional and individual assets. An accomplished businessman, Steve possesses the strong financial skills needed to steward town budgeting.
