PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- I've lived in in the Los Paseos area of the district for 20 years.
- Parent of 3 sons who attended schools in Morgan Hill Unified - my youngest graduated in 1998.
- Skilled in bringing people together to accomplish results.
- Listens to and respects different points of view.
- Committed to using the principles of quality improvement throughout the district - including open communication and data based decision making.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Earned a Master's degree in Library Science.
- Employed 27 years as Manager of Library Services for the Santa Clara County Office of Education.
DISTRICT EXPERIENCE:
- Successfully served on the School Board, 1990-1998.
- Demonstrated leadership skills as Board President, 1993-94.
- Served on School Site Councils for Los Paseos, Encinal and Murphy prior to election to the Board.
COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE:
- Charter member of the Joint Venture Silicon Valley Network, 21st Century Education Initiative, Board of Directors, 1994-96.
