I want to ensure that the current direction of the district continues into the future. Help me to continue to be an effective part of the district's governance.
I BELIEVE...
- Public education is vital and should be supported and improved, not torn down or adandoned!
- All students are important - we must provide opportunities for everyone to learn and expect success for every student.
- All individuals deserve to be treated with respect and without prejudice.
- Schools must be safe for students and for teachers.
- Schools need to change to meet the needs of today - by using technology, upgrading school facilities, and organizing the school day and year.
DURING MY SERVICE ON THE BOARD WE:
- established district goals focusing on student achievement, especially in reading and literacy
- developed partnerships to bring needed expertise and support into the district's schools
- conducted an independent curriculum audit to honestly look at our district and are implementing their recommendations.
