PRIORITIES
- Implement high performance standards at all grade levels, leading to improved student achievement at all levels.
- Increase graduation rates, particularly for minority students.
- Increase numbers of students who complete UC/CSU requirements.
- Increase Latino and other minority enrollment in Honors, GATE, and AP classes at all three high schools.
- Increase opportunities for high quality professional development for teachers.
- Increase parental involvement at all levels.
- Implement class size reduction in more grade levels with qualified teachers and appropriate facilities.
- Ensure the most effective use of I98 bond monies in the building of the Hidden Valley elementary school and other appropriate projects.
- Provide adequate facilities at all elementary and secondary schools as growth occurs.
- Expand library and music programs in both the elementary and secondary schools.
- Promote greater cooperation and encourage joint projects with other community agencies and private organizations.
- Advocate for public education at every opportunity and at every level.
