Political Philosophy for Jose L. Salcido

The business of law enforcement should not be political. As sheriff, my responsibility is to provide the people of Santa Clara County the most professional law enforcement. It will also be my responsibility to provide this level of professionalism in the most efficient manner.

I want to create a Sheriff's Department that is respectful and responsive to all residents of the County. I also want a Department that will be a model of professional law enforcement.

Finally, I want to create a Department that, when a member of the Sheriff's Department retires, they will feel proud that they chose the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department as the vehicle to serve the people of our community.
