Changing the Status Quo for Families, Equality & Economic Fairness
Working families continue to fall through the cracks in our communities, largely due to stagnating incomes and workplace inequality. At the same time, LGBT individuals and families continue to face unequal treatment under the law.

We need a comprehensive plan that changes the status quo by pushing for equality and kick starting our economy that works for all Americans, not just a select few.

An Expert Voice on Women's Health
I took a leading role to help pass health care reform because the status quo was inadequate for my patients, particularly women - and they couldn't wait any longer. Women and their families need an ally willing to step up and serve as a credible voice on their behalf in Washington. I'm running to build upon that work and take that same proactive spirit to Congress.
Promoting Public Health Through Clean Energy & Protecting Our Environment
The greatest long-term threat to our national security is climate change and our crumbling energy infrastructure. Yet, Congress continues to ignore science and cave to big energy companies.

While we are making strides to power our country with clean energy, our work is far from done. It's time for Congress to develop an energy agenda that takes a serious look at our impact on climate change and take a leadership role in developing a clean energy economy.
