Just as important, Brad's fair-minded with the character and integrity expected from our judges." Sheriff William 'Bill' Gore. Child Molesters. Murderers. Rapists. Gang Members. Sexual Predators. Deputy Attorney General Brad Weinreb has been a State Prosecutor in San Diego for almost 25 years keeping these criminals off our streets. Honored as one of the "Top 100 Attorneys in California," Brad has argued in California Supreme Court, including the case upholding life-time sexually violent predator commitments, and has published decisions like the first case to uphold child molest victims' right to have a courthouse dog help on the witness stand. Brad handles death-penalty cases in the Supreme Court, including the execution of a Cabazon Tribal Police Sergeant's 16 year-old step-son, and the kidnap, rape, and murder of 5-year-old Samantha Runnion in Orange County. Brad has experience investigating and prosecuting judicial misconduct cases and has a keen appreciation for judicial ethics and the need for proper temperament and demeanor on the bench and with the public. Brad is the Attorney General's expert on "Marsy's Law" (Prop. 9), teaching law enforcement and prosecutors about crime victim rights, is an expert on "Jessica's Law" and sex offender registration, and, human trafficking- recently working on the Human Trafficking posters appearing soon around San Diego. Brad has owned businesses in San Diego, exposing him to the law and courts from a business perspective, not just as a lawyer. He teaches at a law school and as a proud parent of two wonderful teenagers is engaged in the community and is on the non-profit boards of: The San Diego Animal Support Foundation, helping adopt shelters pets; The John Brockington Foundation, started by this former NFL player to provide money to people on the kidney transplant list, particularly in the African-American community; and the Richard Dreyfuss Initiative, founded by the famous Actor to engage children in Civics and better teach them about our Constitution and founding of the Greatest Nation on Earth.
