Charter schools can do it - why can't the public schools match them?

Charter schools continue to outperform the public schools. We need to change that.

I've watched a school board try to change that. Since they couldn't match the charter school, their best answer was to deny it the right to teach and continue.

That's the wrong approach.

We need to invite them to the table and work with them, not against them, in order to bring better education to the students. They are doing something that the public schools stopped doing a while back - and that's to inspire the students and encourage them to do better.

Right now, we're teaching to the lowest common denominator and bringing the rest down. We need to do the opposite and start bringing the education levels up.
