Water SecurityBy Craig A BushCandidate for Council Member; City of Santa Cruz | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I plan to present a water system in balance with nature that is sustainable, drought or no drought.Water security is esential for economic stability. The system I will support will put our public utility in a position to export water which lowers our water bills. Provides revenues for infrastructure and upgrades. All the water we need. This system is perpeptual sustainability in balance with nature. It will enable the return of the salmon by adding water to the river in the summer. In the winter it will recharge Purissima aquifer in 5-7 years to optimum levels. This aquifer serves two districts. This system produces the purest naturally alkaline water in CA. The best for human consumption. This system can be integrated right into our present plant. It requires less space and energy then conventional systems. A solution to global warming. It takes political will power to make it happen. We can do this here in Santa Cruz! |
