Candidate for Board Member; Los Altos School District

Here is a preview of the candidate statement which will be included in the voter pamphlet.
Thank you for your support in achieving so many positive results within the Los Altos School District during my current term. We have progressed far in our new vision of "revolutionizing learning for all students" with tremendous interest from state, national and international education groups. Both Junior High Schools will be recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools this year, and young families continue to revitalize our community as they seek a great education for their children.

Beyond developing a renowned program, we have increased budget reserves and signed a 5 year settlement agreement with BCS. LASD is poised for further success. Over the next 4 years, I will:

  • Continue integration of technology and great teaching with further development of district S.T.E.M. labs and curriculum.
  • Insure a program that balances core knowledge and technical skills with creativity via visual arts, music and P.E.
  • Focus on updating instructional practices while supporting our successful staff members.

    With the significant increase in enrollment and ongoing challenges for public education, our children deserve experienced leaders who understand the needs of every district student. I have the necessary skills and experience. Please vote for Tamara Logan again this year.
