This information is provided by the candidate |
TUSD continues to achieve excellence despite state budget incompetence by Sacramento.Jonathan Abelove Tustin Unified School District Governing Board Member As an experienced school board member, business owner and father of a TUSD student, I am committed to the district's success and student achievement. As an involved parent and community member, I want what you want + excellence in education, conservative stewardship of our tax dollars, and excellent school facilities. Recent construction projects include middle school activity centers with classrooms and performance areas, high school science centers, and classroom improvements which meet the demand for technology instruction. Auditors and examiners give TUSD the highest ratings for efficient fiscal management. In the last five years TUSD has earned 16 California Distinguished School Awards and a national Schools to Watch award. The California Business for Education Excellence organization has recognized all our high schools and middle schools, and most elementary schools in the district. Tustin Unified schools increase property values because families move to our community due to the quality of the schools. Over 90% of TUSD graduates enroll in college or technical schools. Please vote for me, Jonathan Abelove to keep our schools among the best in California and the nation by focusing on student achievement. TUSD provides students the knowledge and skills to enter life after high school prepared for whatever next step they choose. |
