Political Philosophy for Esmeralda Diaz
Candidate for |

|
My top three priorities are to first make sure the funds of the new LCFF are going to close the gap in student achievement. FUSD needs to be more transparent and less litigious (spending millions in court costs must stop). Secondly, I want to make sure that early intervention is coming to those students at risk of dropping out. These students can be identified early by how will they are achieving academically and if they have extensive discipline issues (parents understand that children act out when they are frustrated). Thirdly, we must engage parents and other "stake holders" in the LCAP process so that next year and for years to come we will have real world input and common sense to create the change that must happen. |
