Candidate for
Council Member; City of Orinda

It has been an honor to serve the Orinda Community as a member of the City Council for the past four years. Working with my colleagues on the council, the many volunteers that serve on our commissions and committees, and the citizens of Orinda has been a truly rewarding experience. I am excited by the opportunity to continue in this role and ask for your support as I seek re-election in November.

In this short time we have achieved many accomplishments. With your support we have passed two funding measures to rebuild our roads and storm drains, opened new sports fields and outdoor recreation facilities, completed long-term infrastructure projects like the Manzanita Bridge replacement and most importantly, maintained a balanced city budget and emergency reserve fund. I am proud of these efforts and I will continue to work with the council and staff to foster greater input from residents about the issues and challenges facing Orinda.

Roads and infrastructure repair will remain a priority as we look for the most efficient and cost effective way to leverage our funding sources. I look forward to continuing our efforts to support our downtown merchants while looking ahead to opportunities for new businesses and services to serve our community. In all of these efforts I am committed to working in a transparent and collaborative manner and continuing to find new ways for improved communication and citizen involvement.

I care deeply about the Orinda community, our excellent schools, and the built and natural environments that make this an unparalleled place to live and enjoy as a family. My wife Alissa and I are fortunate to call Orinda home, raising our two young children here and appreciating all that this community offers. I respectfully ask for your support this November and welcome the opportunity to serve on the council and help preserve and enhance our community's wonderful quality of life.
