Candidate for
Director; Contra Costa Water District; Division 1

Elect Daniel L. Borsuk to the Contra Costa Water District Board of Directors Division 1 seat and residents of Bay Point, Clyde, and portions of Concord and Pittsburg will be well-represented. He will:

Listen to the concerns of district customers about the delivery of quality water at the lowest cost possible.

Attend regular board and committee meetings to be informed about district activities.

Represent the district by attending meetings of state water agency, county board of supervisors, Pittsburg and Concord city councils and, upon invitation, civic organizations.

Use his 20 years of service as a former Contra Costa County Board of Education trustee to fiscally and politically improve the district's water quality and delivery capabilities.

Support new water conservation measures, including potential implementation of mandatory rationing should it become necessary.

Back the district's participation in the Bay Area Regional Desalination Project.

Support the development of Los Vaqueros Reservoir as a major regional fishing destination to increase revenues for the district.

Ensure board meetings comply with the Ralph M. Brown Opening Meeting Act and conflict of interest laws.

Support water conservation and canal safety education programs in schools and businesses.
