I will continue dedicating my talent and time for the benefit of the ratepayers.Good Afternoon, My name is Lisa Borba and I AM the Contra Costa Water District Division 1 Director. I am a Citizen Boardmember. I do not have District offices....District Car or Special Staff. I am a Ratepayer just like you. I am on the Board SOLELY to uphold the Mission of CCWD + which is to strategically provide a reliable supply of high quality water at the lowest cost possible, in an environmentally responsible manner. OVER the past 5 years, I have helped complete major infrastructure projects including the expansion of our Los Vaqueros Reservoir....... which was completed WITHIN BUDGET and ON SCHEDULE. Because of these projects, we have ENOUGH water to use DURING this drought, but none to waste! I have approved SOLID financial plans that LOOK 10 years in the future, BASED upon the priorities of the ratepayers. Even though we have added infrastructure, we have NOT increased staff. Rather than creating a larger bureaucracy, I have made decisions that EMPHASIZE efficiency and streamlining the work. WE received the first ever Transparency in Government Award. I will continue to promote and support new ways of being TRANSPARENT and maintaining the public trust. I proudly report that CCWD employees have INCREASED their contributions to their retirement plan, and FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, are contributing to their Other Post-Employment Benefits. AND they increase that percentage each year. I will continue to support this kind of RESPECT for the public. I am honored to be your REPRESENTATIVE, and ask that you let me continue SUPPORTING clean water, PROMOTING conservation, INCREASING efficiencies, and Responsibly MANAGING our precious water resource WITHOUT invasive tunnels: ALL at the LOWEST possible to the ratepayers.
