Don Biddle has served on the Dublin City Council for the past 6 years. Prior to that he served on the Dublin Planning Commission for 4 years. Currently he is serving on Dublin's Economic Development Committee, Alameda County Waste Management Authority Board, Housing Authority of Alameda County Board, Livermore-Amador Valley Transit Authority(Wheels)Board, Alameda County Transportation Commission, East Bay League of California Cities Board, Dublin Integrity in Action Committee and the City/School District Liaison Committee.

Don is also active in community service organizations. He is a Board Member and past President of Dublin Partners in Education; served on the Tri-Valley YMCA Board; served on the Board and as President of the Tri-Valley unit of the American Cancer Society; is a member of the Dublin Historical Preservation Association and the Dublin Sister City Association; and is also a member of Dublin Rotary - past chairman of the Community Service Committee.

Don was selected 2005 Citizen of the Year.

Don Biddle first moved to Dublin in 1975 and became active in community affairs. He was elected to the School Board and served on Dublin School Boards for 12 years.

Don has contiued his support of Dublin Schools. In 2004 he served as co-chair of the committee that won passage of the school bond measure that is now being used to rebuild Dublin High School and to make improvements to other Dublin school facilities. He then served on the School District Bond Oversight Committee to assure proper expenditure of the funds. Then in 2008 he served as co-chair of the committe that won passage of the parcel tax measure that is being used to improve programs in our Dublin schools.

Don received a BS in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. His professional background is in engineering, construction and management. He worked more than 30 years in project budgeting, cost control, cost forecasting and planning.

Don has been married to Donnamarie for 50 years and has 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.

Don has experience in local government; in the private sector and with community based organizations. His experience, skills, vision and committment to this community will help him continue to be an effective Dublin Councilmember.
