I'm a member of California Nurses association, Planned Parenthood and National Organization for Woman. I have been active with these great organizations trying to improve quality of life for many of our people.
I'm an advocate for campaign finance reforms. The influence of money in politics is corrupting and is a direct threat to our democracy. I value honesty, integrity and compassion.
I believe that we must invest in education and provide the resources that are necessary to enable every child to become a productive member in our society. I believe in preventing problems. Prevention is cost effective and it saves lives. We can prevent disease, crime, high school droop rates, environmental degradation, teen pregnancy and most of our social problems. Unfortunately, we provide minimal finding for preventative measures, instead we react to problems. Every dollar invested in prevention will save us at least ten dollars in the long run.
