Restore Military spending

President Obama and Congress have cut Military spending. In the past, spending required a war capability in the Pacific as well as the Atlantic. The wisdom of this force level is shown by Russia's occupation of the Crimea and China's moves to expand their influence.

While most of us can not find these countries on a map of the world, the United States entered into agreement with Russia that if those areas would give up their nuclear weapons, Russia would respect their borders. The United States wanted just one nuclear power, Russia, after the collapse of the old USSR. That agreement is about 25 years old; not very long for such a deal. It looks like agreements with Russia are just pieces of paper. It reminds one of Hitler's invasion of Austria, another without firing a shot!

China is the big power in the far East. Yet, the United States has a presence there which was established about sixty years ago after World War II. Korea and Vietnam gave the United States black eyes, but there have been promises made there as well. The United States must have the ships, the planes and the men to maintain the status quo.
