Santa Clarita needs more businesses in order to create more jobs. Let's make Santa Clarita the business friendly city it claims to be.I hear complaints from many people trying to open a new business or expand an existing business in the City of Santa Clarita. The permit fee are outrageous, the red tape is exhausting and should some small problem arise the entire process has to start over. If we are to attract business entities to our city we must make it as easy as possible to do so. Many taxes and fees are due to federal, state, county and other taxing entities but those controlled by the city can be changed. The city changes its requirements all the time. We can do better when it comes to bringing additional business, and thus jobs, to our area. It is my intention to do just that. Let's get our citizens to work locally while, at the same time, increasing our tax base that provides us with the amenities we so richly deserve and pay for. |
