Candidate for
Board Member; Belmont-Redwood Shores School District

I am starting my 13th year as a high school English teacher at the feeder high school, Carlmont. My involvement in the community has been primarily through my full-time job as a high school teacher. I plan to become more involved in the community and believe being a member of the board would give me the unique opportunity to get more involved. I have an 8yr old at Central Elementary, and one 3yr old that will be coming into the district in just another two years. I am not only invested in our district because of my own two children, but I am also invested in our district because of the connection it has to my own high school district.

I am also a union member and organizer for my school site, an advocate for high expectations for all students, a trainer for teachers within my district, former Governance and current Site council representative, and a technology instructor for credential students at SFSU.
